Chemould Artists: Musuem Acquisitions

Over the next few days, we will feature artworks that have been acquired by major international museums over the years.

Some museum acquisitions occur over conversations through long periods of time, others are snap decisions at art fairs.

Museums serve as lasting collections of what matters to the public and do so by recording the history of the world's social landscape through the exhibitions they choose to show. The museum's role is more than just conserving or displaying but influencing how we grow by shaping what we see and how we see the artwork.

We, at Chemould Prescott Road, are proud to present some of the works of our artists that have been housed as permanent collections of these major museums.
